a. Blanking molds: work by shearing action, commonly including types such as shearing punches, blanking punches, punching punches, trimming punches, edging punches, hole-pulling punches, and cutting molds.
b. Bending molds: bend flat blanks into an angled shape. Depending on the shape, precision, and production volume of the parts, there are various forms of molds, such as ordinary bending punches, cam bending punches, hemming punches, arc bending punches, bending seam punches, and twisting punches.
c. Drawing molds: drawing molds are used to make flat blanks into bottomed seamless containers.
d. Forming molds: refer to molds that change the shape of blanks by various local deformation methods. Their forms include domed forming punches, rolled edge forming punches, necking forming punches, hole flange forming punches, and round edge forming punches.
e. Compression molds: use powerful pressure to cause metal blanks to flow and deform into the required shape. Types include extrusion punches, embossing punches, stamping punches, and end pressing punches.
